A Santa Claus kind of week!

Nana & Papa were off this past week and we had some visits with Santa Claus. Last night a long standing tradition in Gig Harbor took place again. The GH Fire Department fire truck came to the neighborhood and none other than Santa himself came right to our house. Kenley was pretty excited about seeing him since we told her he would be coming. She was not the least bit scared, but was a little quiet. She gave him hi-five and waved goodbye!

Then the next day Andrea, Nana & Papa all went to Andrea's store and Kenley sat on Santa's lap. Again, she was a little quiet but gave him hi-five and sang "Up on the house top" to him and Santa joined right in. It was so much fun to be there!

Kenley's 3rd birthday!

We had a low key birthday party for Kenley this year. But her BFF from school came, Mackenzie and the two girls had a ball playing together. Andrea's three sorority sisters came and spoiled Kenley rotten. She was such a good girl thorough the entire day. I cannot believe you are already 3. Love you so much!

Baby Berkeley's First Birthday Party!!

November - Turkey Day is coming

Kenley is all ready for Thanksgiving! Can't wait for the turkey and all the fixings!

Playing Blog Catch up - August to October

I have been so bad about updating the blog lately. Let's see what has happened since I last posted.

August - Kenley moved up to the Cruzers (3 year olds) at daycare. She is completely potty trained (such a big girl), she continues to amaze us of her broad vocabulary and her understanding of concepts. Her BFF is McKenzie. They get along beautifully. Also in August, Aunt Debbie started a new tradition - the First Annual Klus Family Reunion. We all met at Fort Steilacoom Park (our old stomping grounds) and had a great time. It was a beautiful day and all the young kids really had fun on the playground equipment. It was amazing to watch the oldest kids help with the younger kids. We have really awesome kids in our family! :)

September - Kenley saw her first movie in a theater. Lion King in 3D. She loved it. It held her attention the entire time and other than to sit for a while on Nana or mommy's lap, she sat in her seat eating lots of popcorn. She looked adorable in her 3D glasses.

October - We headed to the Oregon Coast again for 6 glorious, relaxing days. We stayed at Gleneden Beach just north of Depoe Bay. This is one resort we had not stayed in - although it is where we became part of the Worldmark family. Lovely place, nice beach, the weather was summer-like in the 70s, sunny and gorgeous. The first full day we hiked down to the beach, staked out a place to sit and got all settled in. Andrea & K had just come back for her first toes in the surf experience of the year when a sneaker wave came up, engulfed me, my chair, took one of my crocs off my foot and headed back to the ocean! Kenley was scared to death. She headed for the stairs we had taken to get down to the beach. She wanted no part of the waves after that. So sorry that this had to happen on our first trip. I'm hoping she isn't scared of the ocean forever!

Klus Family Picnic/Reunion

In early August, we had a Klus family picnic at Ft. Steilacoom Park. Everyone attended except Janelle :( We had a great time and it was fun to see the older kids help with the younger kids. We are blessed to have such a wonderful family
